The next Regional Planning Forum is Friday, November 16,
2012 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the OKI Board Room at 720 East Pete Rose
Way, Suite 420.
We are looking forward to yet another fantastic line up of
excellent presenters sharing their experiences successfully tackling some of
our region's greatest challenges. We hope you can join us and lend your voice
to the discussion. Please register so that we can have
enough materials on hand for the forum.
Working Agenda
Liz Blume, Executive Director of the Community Building Institute Executive Director, will give a presentation on local responses to the foreclosure crisis. Liz will share the work that the Community Building Institute and the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority are doing in partnership with Cincinnati, Norwood, Fairfax, North College Hill, and Colerain Township.
Kathy Schwab, Local Initiatives Support
Corporation (LISC) of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky will provide
some background on her organization and share examples of the organization's
accomplishments, including their Place Matters program results.
Don Burrell, Senior Planner and OKI
Bicycle / Pedestrian Coordinator will share an overview of the new OKI
Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) to begin in 2013. This Program stems
from new legislative requirements of the MAP 21 transportation bill. TAP will
replace the prior Transportation Enhancement program and include the Safe
Routes to School program.
OKI staff will give an overview of the Strategic Regional Policy Plan update activities to date, including the current "How Do We Grow from Here?" questionnaire campaign. Small group discussion will include input into this important planning process.
