OKI Regional Planning  Forum

We are looking forward to seeing you at the next Regional Planning Forum on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon here at 720 East Pete Rose Way, Suite 420. We will be looking at some innovative projects that are moving the region forward. We have presentations on a bike plan that has gained national recognition, a community based narrative that defines our region in a new way, and building codes for new era of energy efficiency.

We hope you can join us and lend your voice to the discussion. Please register so that we can have enough materials on hand for the forum.

WORKING AGENDA
Jonathan Wocher, of McBride Dale Clarion, and Dean Neimeyer with Hamilton County Planning & Development will disuss the Hamilton County Building and Zoning Code Analysis for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Project, a project of Hamilton County's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG). 
Adena Kass, of Agenda 360, and Kara Williams, of Vision 2015 with discuss The Story Project, and effort to engage key community stakeholders in the development of a "master narrative" about the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region-the key themes that, when woven together, craft a powerful story that could only describe our region.

The City of Cincinnati was recently awarded the 2012 Bicycle Friendly Community, Bronze-level award by the League of American Bicyclists, recognizing the City's commitment to bicycle infrastructure and advocacy, which was outlined in the City's comprehensive Bike Plan first implemented in 2010. Michael Moore, Director of the City's Department of Transportation & Engineering will give an overview of the City's bike infrastructure development.
